The steel used for the new EBC VR brake discs is a special stainless steel compound with a higher friction effect than conventional heat-treated stainless steel brake discs.
They are made entirely of stainless steel, heat-treated, and offer the rider optimal hardness. Besides weight savings, cooling the brake disc is essential.
For optimal cleaning of the brake disc, the brake surface is drilled with a design that also allows for weight savings.
The driver benefits from improved brake feel and response, as well as increased brake disc life thanks to the improved quality. The material is therefore wear-resistant and prone to cracking.
